The dialog is meant to be shown only once, and AW was meant to 
be usable, but for some reason your old path that was retrieved 
from the server is also invalid.

No, this has to be false by default, it is equivalent to the the xset 
+fp call in the wrapper script, without it AW could not find its fonts 
pretty much anywhere except on RH that the user already tweaked.

As I do not run RH I can only try to simulate the problem, and it 
worked fine under simulations of invalid path; it will ultimately take 
someone with RH to debug this. The code is in 
xap_UnixFontManager.cpp, and is entirely straight forward, and it 
is probably some stupid oversight on my side that is causing this. 
Unfortunately, I am heading overseas in a few hours and will not be 
able to look at it at all before next Thursday.
It can always be turned off, the relevant code is in #if 1 construct, 
and Martin knows what to do. Sorry I cannot be more help at the 
moment.
