    I'm not sure about other platforms, but using the Stable Windows
    version and a profile with the below entry just resulted in the
    <Plugin ... /> section being left out of the rewritten profile.
    Of course I've also screwed up my profile fairly bad in the past
    and still had [the Windows version of] AbiWord load fine (other
    than changing back to some default settings).

    What plaforms have these incompatibilities been reported on?
    (I know, check the mail archives/bug reports, ok I'll think about it :-)
