Simply because, due to the wondeful quality and security desing to
some popular bugware that people insist on confusing with Internet
e-mail clients, the list is getting bombed by some sort of virus code
for proprietary environment, and some of them are properly masqueraded
to make the list server think it comes from a legitimate user... even
though that user use a clean mail agent.
For me that is a good enough reason to keep that shield.
BTW, now that fjf committed the patch, the problem is solved.
