commit - GKT/GNOME now respects --geometry

    Made default (fall-back) window size/position to pref parser
    Made GTK and GNOME apps respect --geometry specification on the command
    line.
    Priority of window geometry settings are now:
     o user specified settings on the command line
     o user specified settings from the preference file
     o hardwired fall-back values
    I think the code will also remember settings specifed on the command
    line (i.e., store them as prefs), but abi bombs when I quit it, so I
    have been unable to test this.
