Hi Folks,
It appears we're on a trajectory that will give us a reasonable
quality release in a couple of months. So lets give ourselves a fixed
deadline for this. How about we aim for October 1st as the first binary
release of AbiWord 1.2/2.0? By this date we'll have our major features
frozen and mostly implemented. I propose these list of features to be:
Tables
Footnotes
EndNotes
Revision Marks
Hidden text
Document Properties
xft
gtk2
embedded objects (on gnome)
embeddable in Bonobo-aware applications.
Are people happy with this? Should this release be for version 1.2 or
2.0? I'd rather call it 2.0 because we really did make major changes to
the code base for 2.0. I guess the next major set of changes will be
when we move to a pango-based layout as default.
Cheers
Martin
