This goes a good bit of the way toward closing bug 3092 (though
untested: http://bugzilla.abisource.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3092).
The idea is since we have PERL scripts and plugin support, why not have
PERL plugins? This could be a good way to integrate something like
Andrew Dunbar's Linguaphile into Abi on startup, perhaps even adding
menu entries or a toolbar icon. The idea is that these scripts could
register menu actions and create EditMethods eventually.
This fix is entirely unix-based but the concept is simple. I'm not sure
how far PERL script handling got on non-unix platforms, but this is sure
to break any that did work. Sorry.
