Which version of AbiWord are you using? If you aren't using 0.99.1,
download and install that, and see if the problem is still there. (There
are download directions from AbiWord Weekly News.)
If you are using 0.99.1, this is a bug. Please file it in bugzilla, and
attach a Word document that causes the crash for you. People will then try
to fix it as soon as possible, because we really want to catch all the
crashing bugs before 1.0.
There's not a lot you can do before that, though. Abi isn't supposed to do
that...
