Not as far as i know, (Martin could you confirm please)
Dont expect any features for Abiword v1.0 that are not in 0.99.3
Endnotes (as opposed to headers/footers) are a substantial change and not
expected in release builds.
I think someone may have been working on it but was unable to give up the
time anymore

or perhaps search through bugzilla.
There will be a lot of new features added after v1.0,
but it is really important to get a solid stable version out soon before
we start making drastic changes.
