Note that the poster is Brazilian and may be trying to spellcheck a
pt-BR document with a pt-PT dictionary and wondering why nothing is
happenning.

It would help the average user if there was some user friendly way we
could fall back to spellchecking any en-* locale with en-* dictionaries.
The amount of questions we get asked about setting the document language
makes it clear we also need some way to make it easier to set the document
language. I cannot think of a way to provide this kind of functionality
in a way that doesn't quickly get messy and confusing.
