Ahh, ok. Please add your comments to that bug!

Just a workaround that I find useful not only for AbiWord: You can
create more than one "printer" (to Windows) for each port. If you find
yourself switching between regular and draft mode frequently, just
follow the Add Printer wizard and choose the same printer driver, then
set it to the port of your already-installed printer. In the "Copy 1"
printer (or whatever Windows decides to call it), you can change the
default settings, and rename it to, for instance, "My Printer" and "My
Printer Draft Mode".
