This may sound weird but have you tried opening Firefox first then using
File, Open to select the Abiword help files? (I've had problems in the
past passing files to mozilla from the command line or problems with the
help files not being found but no problems actually viewing the abiword
help files). I'd be very interested to know if this problem also occurs
with Mozilla or with Epiphany or Galeon.
This is certainly the first I've heard of any significant problem with the
help files in Firefox. Of course if there is a problem we will try and
make the help files more compatible with different browsers but this
sounds more like a problem with Firefox and I'd recommend you also ask
their developers.
Sincerely
Alan Horkan
